Yes.
Project path is dependant whether its exe or xml

I made my projects use project path and it worked in BAS editor... but when u convert to exe project path changes ! to some temporary path so none of your projects will work.
took me few days to realize whats wrong with my bots.
it would be nice if there was a warning for new users that project path is different after executing exe than it is in BAS editor or if it was the same.
