Issues with Proxy connection

Is there a reason that this is failing to connect when using this function/BAS. (Proxy details changed for security obviously)

I am able to use this proxy on a browser perfectly fine.

Am I missing something very obvious? It has been a long day lol......

Maybe the problem is in the type of proxy? Check with the proxy provider which type of proxy it offers: socks5 or http. Please note that BAS does not support socks4 type.

Yeah that must be the issue.

They state their proxies are http but their company is a bit untrustworthy.

Contacted them anyway.

So I spoke to my provider and their proxies are http/https.

I have also tried using some public proxies and another provider to try and diagnose the issue yet I am still having problems.

I feel like I'm missing something very obvious.

After using a proxy, do you have no website loaded or only the target one? Have you tried loading www.google.com ?

Seems to be working now which is odd because I tried multiple different proxy types and providers.

At least it's working now lol
