Нет, поняли не правильно, всё работает. Для майл.ру нужно создать пароль для приложений и использовать его в поле "Пароль". А для outlook выбирать SSL шифрование.

Да все вроде работает, пароль не от почты использовать надо, а для внешних приложений.

Для разных почтовых сервисов разные настройки.
В outlook.live.com логин с паролем пишутся именно от аккаунта.
В mail.ru в настройках безопасности есть пункт "Пароли для внешних приложений".
В mail.google.com подробно описано здесь.
В mail.yandex.ru описано здесь (нужно создавать пароли).
В mail.rambler.ru описано в разделе Помощь.После кубика "Получить содержание последнего письма" создайте лог переменной [[MAIL_TEXT_PLAIN]]
