    @Insight said in Get 80 characters from string, Respecting full words:

    Hi, I can use 'Get substring' to fetch the first X characters from a title, however, this will often cut a word in half at the end. For example

    Catalogue of the Highly Important Collection

    Will result in

    Catalogue of the Highly Important Colle

    Is there a feature in BAS to extract the first X characters and stopping at the last complete word i.e.

    Catalogue of the Highly Important

    It can be solved through the "List" module

    2317.xml

    Or using a regular expression

    @HELP_ME for set-cookie, the value can be found in the cookies themselves, this is not a problem.

    @GhostZ Thank you so much for your reply and help. Yes, I read the instructions. I saved as a list and all that and still got errors because I didnt know to use First Element instead of a regular list.

    This clarifies everything!

    And i get that it's an index but I dont understand why when all actions would definitely utilize the row so it requires an extra step.

    But i know nothing lol

    Thanks!

    @darkstone said in Get element attribute from custom interface:

    @fox i mean i need to get $('element').val() and store it on a variable that can i used inside BAS

    Code for the "Run javascript in web interface" action:

    Api.SetGlobalVariable("GLOBALVARIABLENAME", $('element').val())

    It is better to hang the handler on this element so that when it is changed, it writes the result to a global variable. In this case, the global variable will always contain relevant information:

    $("#element").change(function() { Api.SetGlobalVariable("GLOBALVARIABLENAME",this.value) });

    @evert230 You can use better proxies or try CapMonster. You need to buy this software once and after that it solves captchas for free.
