continue script of someone else ?

Hi, i use to pay one guy for a script for spotify
he disapeared from everywhere, discord, telegram , forum ...
it's possible to edit his project to update , because ofc, script don't work anymore...
i find in the folder the project files .xml , i can load it, but when i press on record mode nothing happen.
