@robertbaldwin Strange behaviour. Maybe the developers of the fingerprint.js changed something in their code. In general it should work. You can try a different version from their github or the npm module.
Maybe their is some relevant information in the documentation. It's a while ago I used it.

Hello
I would like to use CustomServer to capture fingerprint without capturing perfect canvas. How to do so?
In the settings of CustomServer, it says:
"In case if you don't set this data, rendering canvas in real time will be used, just like with standard PerfectCanvas server. This will slow down obtaining fingerprint. Same situation may happend if you want to get fingerprint with PerfectCanvas request for other site."
