Saving BAS Profiles and Fingerprints on NAS

Support
  • I have put together a NAS for my home backups. 4 x 12 TB Ironwolf HDDs and 2x 4TB WD Black NVMe SSDs. The OS is of course Linux based and all media are formatted with ext4.
As I have to manage a lot of profiles and fingerprints in my BAS projects, I would of course like to save them directly to the NAS via Gigabit LAN (either to the HDDs or the SSDs - depending on what is feasible).

What points should I bear in mind and what disadvantages and risks can arise when accessing profiles and fingerprints stored on the NAS directly from BAS?
